When Civil War is mentioned here in the United States it means but one thing, the War Between the States. Yet there took place in the British Isles in the mid-Seventeenth Century a fierce struggle between King and Parliment commonly known as the English Civil War here, the Great Rebellion or just plain Civil War there. As far as wargame considerations are concerned this conflict lasted about as long as our own internal war. It offers as many potentially interesting and challenging situations as the War Between the States, but somehow the epoch has been generally overlooked here, principally due to an acute lack of publicity (save for the film Cromwell). The Cavaliers and Roundheads miniatures rules are offered here to help correct this unfounded neglect. Now you will have the means to recreate the battles and campaigns of the Great Rebellion, and to do so in a highly playable, yet realistic, manner.
